SURF & SEA KAYAKING -

Surf Kayaking
Sea KayakingTry surf kayaking for heart thumping, adrenaline rushing excitement! Your experience starts with a briefing on basic handling techniques and safety. After the briefing we paddle along the shore, through the surf, to help develop your skills.

In our sit on top kayaks it is extremely easy to start riding smaller waves, quickly progressing to bigger surf. O
n the very rare occasion when there is no surf, or if you would prefer we can take you sea kayaking along the beautiful Gower or Pembrokeshire coastline.

The Kayaks: we use Perception sit on top kayaks, which are ideal for beginners, no fiddly spraydecks to bother with and if you capsize you can jump straight back on, no having to return to the shore to empty your kayak.

"Thanks Neil for a great day out last week, surf kayaking was such a great buzz, we have recommended your company to all of our friends- we will definitely be back again…Liz Kavorski "

Locations: Caswell Bay & Llangennith (see Map)
Caswell Bay
is a sandy beach with good access and facilities, a popular destination for both visitors and locals all year round, situated ten minutes drive from Mumbles village. Swimming is safe, and there is a Lifeguard patrol during the summer months. When conditions prevail, this is a popular surfing beach, particularly at mid to high tide.

Llangennith is the surfing capital of Gower, mainly due to the consistent swells that pour in from the mighty Atlantic Ocean, and is situated at the northern end of Rhossili Bay. The bay stretches for over three miles, here you can witness the power of the sea pounding onto the shore, wandering along the water's edge. The beach is backed by magnificent sand dunes at the north end there is the island of Burry Holms.

* Top Tip ! - Summer is popular but the sea doesn't really cool down until well into autumn, and later in the season there's more chance of a bit of swell to add some interest to the experience.
